I can't believe poutine is gravy and chips, I thought it was some fancy french canadian nonsense but nope.
Ate a burger called "Blame Canada" with beef, maple glazed bacon, cheese & poutine. Was really good, didn't nab a photo though.
You are wrong.

"Cheese and poutine" is objectively incorrect; poutine, by its very nature, includes cheese (usually curds, but occasionally shredded depending on preference). Fries and gravy alone do not and cannot constitute poutine. You're welcome, motherfucker.

Just saw it. Probably the best Spoderman movie. Only complaint is the shitty "MJ" character. I hope to god she doesn't become more important in the next one. On the upside, The Vulture was fucking fantastic. MCU gets a lot of crap for having shitty villains, and I thought Big V was gonna be no different because, ya know, he's like the lamest villain in the comics, but The Vulture was the tits. He's the only villain in the MCU I can think of that's in sort of a moral grey area.
Just watched it last night, and I have to say I agree with all of your points. the MJ character was unnecessary and disappointing. The Vulture was really cool. Most MCU villains have been forgettable except maybe Loki, but that's mostly because they keep reminding us he's still around every other movie. The Vulture actually looks cool too, I've been disappointed with every revamped spider-man villain's look so far, except Doctor Octavious, he turned out cool. To be fair most of the costumes from the comics wouldn't translate well to live action, no one want to see the Green Goblin flying around in a rubber mask and green spandex. The vulture looks intimidating, his suit is functional, and they don't go overboard on unnecessary details. I also liked the side arc about cleaning up the mess in New York from all the Avenger's battles. Also the best Peter Parker, Andrew Garfield was too anxiety skater boy, Tobey Maguire had less personality than a cardboard cutout.

It's REALLY fucking good though. Although I'll admit that this chain is kinda over-rated, if you ever find yourself in a place that has a Smoke's Poutine, I'd recommend it. They have a huge menu with a lot of dishes that are more than just the usual fries/gravy/cheese curds.

Oh yeah it had those little shredded things, I'm talking a big slab of american cheese, no burger is a burger without it, fuckin FACT.

Another belated Happy Birthday for Firedemon. In lieu of a present, I gave you an extra Like.

In other news, the Ancestry.com DNA testing kit that my younger siblings forced on me for my last birthday just got processed. Turns out I'm not entirely as Polish as I'd thought.

I just... can't help but notice that parts of that orange blob overlap northeastern Slovakia.

Wouldn't that make it likely that some of your ancestors were owned by Czechs?

How 'bout the long answer?

And I hope you enjoyed your birthday, FD. I'm not gonna give you a present beyond wellwishing, but I think that's fair 'cause you didn't get me shit. I think.

Long answer: Fuck no, that ain't possible because, for one thing, their line ends up with me as a descendant.

Also, on zooming in, there's really negligible overlap between any orange area and Slovakian territory - and only on sparsely-populated border regions, where any overlap exists at all.

Additionally, there is no circle shown at all that isn't centered on Polish territory, let alone former Commonwealth territory - meaning that rather than my having any apparent forebears that come from a group of people originating in Slovakia and spreading to Poland, they're pretty definitely just forebears sharing common genetic markers with groups of people from Poland, some of which have since spread as far as the border regions of modern-day Slovakia. Finally, no orange area whatsoever enters or even comes near to any territory with, at any point in history, a significant Czech population - not even if those conditions are interpreted generously enough to include, for example, regions within or along the borders of the Silesian proper.

Thus, any expectation of any part of my lineage having been a serf for any Czech 'nobility (sic)' is simply too bereft of merit to be worthy of consideration - and even the idea that any direct ancestors of mine were nationals of any Czech-controlled territory, at any point in time, is incredibly unlikely based on the data as shown.

Lastly, fuck you anyway, you off-brand raider-islander-slash-goat-herder-hill-people bastard.

I would be afraid to open a present from any of you.

But thanks, my birthday was appropriately boring for any birthday after 21.

The Shadow Realm can only be found by those who inhabit it. In order to get there, you need to go through another forumer's list of threads and find one located there. Me, Firedemon, Ibix, Tirin and He who bears the Realm's namesake can all get there whenever we want, because we all have threads there. You'll have to go to one of our profile pages to get there yourself, or just make your own shadow thread, dummy.

You can also reach it through ancient and powerful methods like "checking the most recent posts list" or just typing the URL of the subforum. Apparently that's too much for suckas like all y'all, though.
