I've watched a bit of OPM and I do like it a lot. It's a bit draining for me though just because of the premise. I love the fuck out of it, but there's only so much "bored superhero kills everything relatively easily and is mad about how easy it is" that I can take before I have to step back. It's fantastic satire though, so I know I'll go back to it eventually.
No worries, they don't really use that gag again after Episode 1. Episodes 4, 6, & 7 are the only ones you'll likely have any trouble sitting through, cause there's not a lot of plot going on in those three.
Yeah, it's absolutely weird that we still keep in touch.
I'm okay with it.
Can confirm that while we have not got a better villain, there's a boy named Mirio who is hands down the best boy.
Hands down.
Mob Psycho 100 is the complete opposite of One Punch Man. One Punch Man is more comedy with a focus on the supporting cast.
Mob Psycho is a Saitama that develops and grows over the course of the series. Right now, Chapter 100 is pretty exciting stuff.
Honestly not that different imo, except that Mob doesn't really have a hero drive. Saitama's also a super-powerful but emotionless, clinically depressed loner who slowly starts learning how to make and spend time with friends, have emotions, and generally enjoy life - to the extent that he doesn't even get hyped at all for the boss fight at the end of Season 1 anymore. Compare/contrast the way he acts about the fights with Vaccine Man, Boros, and Garou, and you'll be like "dang, that Saitama character sure has changed a lot since Episode 1, yo."
Speaking of manga, if you haven't read Helck yet, read Helck. It's a great and wholesome comedy manga. Riyant, and Easy and attest to this.
I can, although it quickly stops being what I'd call a comedy manga.
I'm extremely happy that you're okay, Easy. Stay safe.
Thanks, but I went ahead and ran my car into a deer on the way back from work a couple of nights after you said this anyway. Now it's fucked up just like all my neighbor's stuff! Y'know, in solidarity.*
*(Not actually done in solidarity, and in fact, I'm really pissed off about it.)
On a lighter note, somebody made a
Mexican One (Juan) Punch Man video that I kinda feel bad about laughing at.
