However, I will say that as far as my experience goes, putting your expected graduation date on there is actually preferable to just "200X-present." Gives people a better idea of just what you're really able to sign up for, and when.
I did exactly this. I just submitted a resume last week and indicated that I'm expecting to finish my studies at the end of April 2018. Coincidentally, that's around the time they'll need the position filled, so fingers crossed.

So do you intend to link the button not buttons to your work to show off your portfolio? I'm amusing you are because you should, and what are you intending to link under each?

I can also see the pixels in your background image so that could be tightened up a bit.

I wouldn't personally put my social media on my portfolio unless it was social media profiles tailored to me as a professional. Posting and commenting on my work, have separate accounts for personal junk.

New review up, take a look at the poll if you've asked me to review something already.

I'm happy to collect revisions for this one before I record any of it, since that's still the plan.

Hey guys. It's been a while since I gave a life update i suppose. I'm alive. Graduated my military journalism/photography/video/multimedia school last week, so I'm officially a Navy Mass Communication Specialist. I now have a second school to go to with a larger focus on video/radio which not everyone gets to do, so that's nice. In may I'll be going to Washington state where I'll be assigned to carrier for my permanent duty station, which I'm looking forward to.

I will say that the school I graduated from was tough. If you would have told me a year ago that military journalism school has the third highest drop out rate in the Navy I would have laughed at you, but it's true apparently. Out of the 20 people who were originally in my class 11 made it to graduation.

Nah, not a bubblehead. Not a fan of the hotracking...and not seeing the sun...or anything of that nature. Nope. Subs are not for me. But my day will be pretty varied, could be photographing flight operations, writing stories to be put on Navy.mil or desigining the ship's magazine. It'll be USS Nimitz (CVN 68).

Nice Rondait, that all sounds really great. I always get the impression bigger ships are better places to be and you got that fleet carrier assignment. Of course the quality of the chain of command above you is super important too. I hope it treats you well, make sure you get pictures of all the classified stuff for us.

i'm already so fuckin sick of the summer. Great for a holiday and day drinking but contrary to popular advertisements Australians don't get to do that every day.
That being said I am going on a holiday in 3 days to a house in the middle of nowhere for exactly that, but still. i'm dying bois.

And I finally got an internship! 6 monther too, pays $3200 AUD a month which isn't bad at all for someone living at home. It'll be the most amount of money I've earned at a job anyway. The interviewing team were really nice as well so of all the places to potentially give me an offer this one seems great. Starts in March though, so i've gotta skip a semester of uni but everyone including myself reckons it's worth it.

Well, good. Maybe you'll be able to afford to leave the country on your next vacation?

Yeah will hopefully do something like that with the misses.
However when going on a holiday with 14 blokes, a house in the middle of nowhere ends up being a pretty nice and easy holiday spot, especially for the bank account.
