I haven't completely ironed out the system I'll be using yet, but I figured I may as well get this rolling. This is going to be my first time doing something like this, so don't get your expectations too high. This will be a semi-serious rp heavily inspired by D&D in the "party traveling around together" style of things. At the time being I'll most be gauging interest and have a basic character sheet format up until I finish solidifying all the mechanics and lore I'll be using. The setting is the high fantasy land of Sairenoth, inhabited by all manner of people and creatures. In a time of fragile peace violent is rampant in the dangerous world. From those who would try to contain the chaos and those who wish to be left alone, all sorts forge their societies wary of what dangers are yet to come. From the scorched deserts to the magical forests to the underdark, there's no telling what lurks in the shadows of uncharted territory. Character Sheet Template (temporary until I finalize stats and other such things) -Name: -Age: -Gender: -Race: -Racial abilities, perks, and disadvantages: -Description/Personality: -Backstory: -General equipment: Now, for race there are quite a few options. Anything that has a higher level of intelligence as fair game with a few exceptions. No humans, elves, dwarves, halfings etc. Your character cannot be larger than a bus in size, or smaller than a mouse. Anything else is fair game from gnolls to vampires, demons to abyssal. I'm on the fence about allowing anything divine. If you want to know if your idea is okay just say so. Secondly, your character must be okay with working with a group of other people to some extent for the sake of the party setting. I'll work out how everyone meets up later once I set up the first zone proper. But for one reason or another you're all going to be coming to a small fishing port town, will work out details later. Your character can be anything, from a performer to a bandit to an accountant, but keep in mind there will probably be a fair amount of combat. Any sort of morality and alignment is fine. This is going to be my first time GM'ing, so going into it critique and advice would be welcome.
