I feel like this fits into the community creations because I make these.
So as I mentioned already I make swords for a living. I guess that makes me a professional sword smith.
So most of what we make is intended for competition sword fighting for groups like the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism) and HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts). Unlike ren- fairs where everything is staged hes people put on armor and go at it to win. the swords do have to have blunted edges and they have to flex a certain amount for thrusting. We do occasionally get a request for sharp swords and, we'll do those too.
We are one of the only places that will do fully custom swords and I am the one that draws up the parts using a drafting program called Solidworks. When I'm not doing that I usually have a grinder and am making all the parts look pretty and ready to get put together.
Most of what we make is rapiers, but we also do longswords, sabers, daggers, katanas, and hand and a half swords. We will also do any other type of sword if you have the money to order it. We currently have a Khopesh in the works and we did twin Yatagans I'll post sometime.
This was just a regular longsword, but they wanted a thumb ring attached. The handle is kevlar wrapped, not period, but very durable and looks nice.
The is basically a Middle Eastern saber called a Shamshir.
A couple custom sabers.
A rapier with 4 sets of crab quillions for trapping opponents blades.
A dagger with a sweet oak leaf pattern on the guard.
This sword is sharp and one of the few times we have made a scabbard for a sword.
I'll get around to posting more, but in the meantime feel free to ask questions or comment or whatever.
