Hey folks, my capstone's due soon so let's put this on hold for another four days or so, okay?
Finals are done and I graduated, but I'm still pretty busy with unpacking and being an adult and things. Will come back to this, and the forum, soon.
Ah...let's be real. I'm starting a ton of new stuff right now and am looking to do other things in my spare time that isn't this. Since interest has been kinda waning anyways, I'm gonna go ahead and put this on indefinite hold. Sorry guys, life's moving on.

Summary of the Machpocalypse
Chapter 1: Treehouse
Easy, Req, Muffin, and Regis are playing cards in Regis' treehouse. Regis leaves to use the bathroom while the others continue playing. Suddenly, strange creatures that look like Fuse attack and kill Coolpool, who was nearby. The friends search for Regis but cannot find him. They also discover that the power is out across the whole forum.
After dispatching another creature and finding crude weapons, Jeroth and Facqual pick up the group in a truck and they head towards the police station to look for more survivors and get weapons.
Chapter 2: Police Station
While downtown, Andy's car crashes into the group's truck, killing Andy and Facqual. Easy saves Jeroth from the wreckage, but everyone is pretty dazed. The group climbs onto the top of Wolfy's diner and manages to get into the police station through the window, thanks to Bob's help. When the Fuse creatures (now deduced to be some kind of zombies) get onto the roof of the diner, Easy acts quickly to save Shizno, but is unable to save Bob from being devoured.
After initial hostilities with Shizno, Officer 13thforsworn explains that Team Dash (plus Shizno and Ibix) had robbed the police station of all its supplies earlier. A shootout occurred which killed Ro3, and injured Chickenspleen and Cat, who are now recovering in the back. Shizno claims he wanted no part in the violence and abandoned Team Dash shortly afterwards. 13th handcuffs him to a fixed location as the group takes care of more pressing matters.
Easy checks in with Req and Muffin, who both express their concern over everyone's hostilities. Req encourages Easy to make hard choices, and Muffin suggests they try to find Recon, who might be able to fix the zombie problem with his administrative powers.
The group witnesses Ciflit being attacked by zombies nearby. After a brief argument over the best use of resources, Easy mercy-kills Ciflit.
13th gathers everyone and tells them of a radio call from Officer Artist, who says that there is a safe haven known as "The Adventurer's Clubhouse" being run on Mount Tarn. This seems to be where the surviving forumers are heading, and where the group decides to go. However, it's at least a week-long trek through the wilderness to get there.
Easy helps the group decide to go get the supplies from Team Dash first, so that they'll have a good chance of making it to the Clubhouse. Shizno agrees to help out and be the group's inside man. Muffin decides to stay to watch over Cat and Chicken.
Easy, Req, Jeroth, 13th, and Shizno head to the Inquirer to confront Team Dash.
Chapter 3: The Inquirer
Easy recites the plan, which involves sneaking into the building and having a dialogue (at gunpoint) with Team Dash after knocking out wildcard Shadow. Easy climbs onto the roof but is ambushed by Null. The two talk, and find that they're both there to retrieve stolen gear from Team Dash. Null heads into the vent on his own, followed by the rest of the group.
Once inside, Easy ambushes Shadow. He has the opportunity to kill him quietly, but knocks him out instead. Unfortunately this wakes up Team Dash. Shizno volunteers to distract Team Dash and cover up what just happened, and Easy lets him do this. When Shizno gives the all clear a few minutes later, the group is ambushed by Team Dash (Vance, Salsy, Pally, Polly, plus Ibix and Shizno). Salsy slashes Req's face and Easy and Jeroth are held hostage. Null and 13th remain hidden.
Easy engages in meaningful dialogue with Vance and deescalates the tension with most of Team Dash. However, Vance begins panicking out of fear and forces a distraught Shizno to execute Jeroth. After Easy is threatened with the same fate, Null turns off the lights and battle breaks out.
Easy overpowers Shizno and knocks him unconscious. Pally tries to kill Easy, but is shot dead by 13th. Vance shoots down 13th, and Easy quickly shoots Vance dead. Salsy and Null engage in a knife-fight that Null begins to lose. Easy tries to deal Salsy a non-lethal shot, but shoots him in the neck, killing him. Shadow escapes through the vents.This ends the battle.
Easy spares Ibix (who was hiding in the closet and never attacked the group) and convinces him to join the group.
Easy helps Requiem, who has an injured eye. Req tries to convince him to keep the group smaller, but Easy disagrees.
Easy criticizes 13th's failure to act in time to save Jeroth, and 13th is genuinely remorseful of his decision and the carnage that resulted from it. His robot body is not functional, but his now decapitated head can still talk and be reattached to a different robot body.
Despite some controversy within the group, Easy spares Shizno's life and Shizno swears his loyalty to them, promising he won't let fear control him again.
Null seems to mourn Salsy for a moment, then takes a musical pocketwatch from his corpse. Easy tries to convince him to stay with the group, but Null insists he does better on his own. He takes the sniper rifle and nightvision goggles Salsy had stolen from him and leaves the building. The group rests.
The next morning, Easy has a conversation over the radio with Stealthy, who is running the Adventurer's Clubhouse. Easy learns that the Clubhouse is well-defended and well-supplied, but only has ten people so far (Stealthy, Danny, Frilzer, Milamber, icevin, Jeb, Lumpy, lynexer, Tag Ross, and Zircom). Stealthy has a few helicopters at his disposal, but can't afford the fuel to pick more people up. He gives Easy instructions as to how to get to the Clubhouse. Stealthy is also working on reprogramming Shadowbots for defense purposes. Stealthy requests to keep an eye out for Recon, Tirin, and Stoney, as they are very important to his plans. Stealthy warns that will likely lose all radio reception in the Chocobo Forest, which they must traverse. He wishes them luck.
The survivors gather all of Team Dash's weapons and outdoor equipment. The survivors; Easy, Req, 13th's head, Shizno, and Ibix go back to the police station to pick up Muffin, Chicken, and Cat before entering the Chocobo Forest.
Chapter 4: Chocobo Forest (Thus Far)
It has been several days since the survivors entered the woods after picking up Muffin and Chicken. Along the way they encountered Artist, Walrus, Anatron, Whitetiger, and Rondait.
Easy and Muffin go hunting, while also keeping an eye out for Rondait, who went missing the night before. Muffin expresses her concerns about Req's well-being. Req has evidently seemed a bit more harsh and distant following the Team Dash incident, in which he lost his eye.
The two of them encounter a baby faun. Muffin (the better shot) seems uncomfortable taking the shot, so Easy takes it for her. He misses, and the faun is scared away. Soon afterwards they find Rondait's corpse. It seems that, after he got lost, he climbed a tree, but fell out of it and snapped his neck. After a brief period of silence, they take his gear and return to the camp.
Easy and Muffin tell Req about Rondait. He says that he'll tell the group about it later. Muffin takes a nap and Easy fixes a water filter with Artist. Easy convinces Ibix to attend 13th's lecture on gun use. When asked about Rondait, Easy is honest and tells Ibix what happened to Rondait.
At 13th's lecture, Easy gives demonstrations of melee takedowns, which happen to be his specialty. When the group about Rondait, Easy tells them the truth.
Later, Req tries holding a meeting to emphasize the importance of rules the group had agreed upon, but the news of Rondait's death turns the conversation into chaos. Req gets pissed and fires his gun in the air, then berates the group for their evident disregard of their own survival. They then begin hiking.
While hiking, Anatron taunts Chickenpleen, who is feeling guilty over Rondait's death. Anatron also insults Req behind his back. Easy defends Req and tells Anatron to be a better group member. Anatron does not respond positively.
The group soon encounter a lone zombie. Easy and 13th encourage Ibix to kill it, which he does so successfully. He is very pleased with himself and the group applauds. Soon after, the group finds a bunch of dismembered zombie corpses, with no sign of who or what killed them.
The group stops, and Easy has lunch with Muffin. Another zombie shows up, and Walrus is excited to kill it. He is horrified to learn that it's Melody. Req executes the Melody zombie. Walrus, overcome with grief, tries to shoot himself. Easy tackles Walrus, causing him to miss his shot, but Walrus accidentally shoots Whitetiger in the face.
The group tries to make Whitetiger comfortable as he dies. Req executes Whitetiger when he begins convulsing. Easy takes Whitetiger's journal and jacket.
Req and Easy try to convince Walrus to continue with them. Easy tries to appeal to Walrus' sense of honor, but Walrus desires to be alone. Easy gives Walrus a map of the area in case he decides to rejoin the group, and the group leaves.
When they reach the new camp, Easy helps Req set up a tent. Afterwards Easy volunteers to redistribute the gear, and helps Muffin and 13th establish a watch for the night. Easy isn't hearing well out of his left ear after having Walrus' gun go off by it earlier. Muffin convinces Easy to have Shizno replace him on watch.
Easy catches up on sleep, but is awoken by a gunshot. Shizno fired at a figure in the brush, thinking it was a zombie. However, it was Walrus. Walrus is shot through the kneecap. The group moves him into a tent and Muffin stabilizes him.
Req pulls Easy aside and lets him know that 13th is missing. Everyone is at a loss as to what's happened to him.
Shizno has a mental breakdown after losing his gun n addition to his other slip-ups. Easy berates him harshly.
While speaking with Walrus, Easy assures Walrus of an afterlife where he'll see Melody again. Walrus is committed to living and helping the forum survive. Req comes in after Walrus drifts to sleep. Easy becomes suspicious of Req, thinking that he may intend on euthanizing Walrus. Req confesses this when pressed, stating that Walrus will slow the group down to a dangerous degree. Easy expresses his disappointment with Req's cruel plan.
