Why TC? When he plays, he usually plays well. I'm not inclined to save "power players" any more than the first full day/night phase, but if I were going to pick someone I personally think we should hold until day 2, it'd be TC. He's a smart player when he puts his head into a game. I don't want to kill Tolvan just for trying to start That Discussion™, but if not him, then who? TC doesn't strike me as a reasonable pick, but I'm basing this stance on my personal experience with him in mafia.

Tolvan to me is looking more and more like a VI than anything else. Plus:

Leads me to believe that he has next to no experience with this game and would like to learn. His comments are naive. His comments are lighthearted. His comments are inexperienced. And killing him for being new to this is not something I can stand behind, as he'll never learn otherwise. I'd rather not doom him to becoming Anatron v2.

And as the forefront advocate against the D1NL, I really believe that his statement is being blown way out of proportion. To me, this current wagon is like picking off the low hanging fruit. It's quick. It's easy. You don't have to think.

There's 9 people in this game. 5 hammers today. And we're like a page into D1 with already 3 + this:

Okay, after that, I'm willing to lynch Tolvan. I'd prefer to wait it out another day or so though, just to see what else comes up. I don't like the idea of lynching too quickly Day 1.

Also, just a heads up, I'm likely not going to be posting until either very late tonight or tomorrow afternoon.

A covert L-1 with the added benefit of getting validation for his lynch. He tried to be reasonable. He tried to slow down the train (hehehe). It's manipulative in the sense that, as town, there's no reason to be hesitant about anything you believe.

That said, I wouldn't put it past Tolvan to try something like that in an attempt to get an "easy" kill along with a lynch and a night kill. I also wouldn't really worry about him actually doing anything.

Meanwhile, I noticed this. It seems odd that we'd all reprimand Tolvan for his D1NL then when he decides to lynch, Req sees it as a "Easy kill" along with a lynch and a night kill. That's a shady statement, Req.

Anyway I agree with your reasoning for TC being scummy but at the same time I remember him being fairly bandwagon-y most games. Not that it's a good thing.

Anyways, we've gotta kill someone. Tolvan is a less viable option now and TC has sorta messed himself up. I say we start working towards the inevitable, but something could change in the next 48 hours, who knows?

For what it's worth, I'm reading Salsy, Tolvan, and FD as most-likely-to-not-be-scum, given their posts thus far.

Just so I'm not the default Day 1 kill, I'mma lynch Req.

I don't think it's beyond Req to use the "modkill me if if this plausible event happens" as a subtle way of appearing innocent. Via the "vanilla townies care less about living then mafia does" logic.

Actually, that seems more like a Walrus move.

Whatever, sticking by that lynch unless there's a bandwagon I can jump onto. That's not me.

When I said 48 hours earlier, I meant 24ish. I've got my days crossed, didn't think it was Thursday when I posted that.

Anyways, I don't have much of a response to TC's lynch. I'm not gonna counter lynch him, but I will say I wouldn't try any sort of outside of game tactic. The modkill I asked for is legitimately exactly what it looks like and we as a group gracefully avoided talking about That Thing™ so it isn't an issue anymore. I don't need to create silliness out of game to appear innocent in any way. If you're good at Mafia, you learn how to be as innocent as possible, especially when you're actually innocent. If you don't do that, you lose.

Well yeah. I'm pretty much the biggest target right now. I'm up for lynching anyone who's not myself, FD, Salsy, or Tolvan. Out of those that remain, I'm most suspicious of Req. But I doubt that's a common feeling, so if that doesn't get me saved here, I'm casting my vote towards Ibix. I suspect him less, but he hasn't contributed anything thus far.
