It's a genuinely well written show. With a cast as big as this one I'm surprised they manage to give everyone character development. I'm sad it's gonna be one of those shows that last for umpteenth seasons and hundreds of episodes, but if they manage to keep up this level of quality, I'm all for it.
Been watching and reading it since back when S1 was running (last year...? The year before? It's been a pretty chaotic time of life for me lately, and I don't remember). Pretty good, though I can't help but feel like it peaked at Stain. I'm pretty sure I've never seen a topper anti-villain.

If you (still) haven't gotten on that One Punch man yet, I still recommend you do so. Otherwise, MOB Psycho 100 is right up there as well. Both are really excellent at getting that character development in for a large and diverse supporting cast, (though yes, like pretty much everyone always says, you really wouldn't expect that to be the case given the premises of either), and neither give the impression that they're going to get dragged out for like a hundred more seasons.*

*(Although the wait for Season 2 could quite possibly get dragged out for like another hundred years, nobody really knows at this point.)

That's generally why I tend to not watch anime unless I know the series is finished completely. I hate getting cock teased and then finding out the show's been canceled. High School of the Dead was fantastically animated and voiced zombie action schlock with a promising set up for a season 2 and now it's almost definitely never going to happen.

I mainly jumped onto the My Hero Academia bandwagon because superheroes. I'm a sucker for a good school show as well. Blows my mind that the X-Men movies have failed to be only okay and rarely amazing (Logan, but that barely counts since it's all about wolverine as always).

I've got both on my radar though, OPM and Mob Psycho 100. I've watched a bit of OPM and I do like it a lot. It's a bit draining for me though just because of the premise. I love the fuck out of it, but there's only so much "bored superhero kills everything relatively easily and is mad about how easy it is" that I can take before I have to step back. It's fantastic satire though, so I know I'll go back to it eventually.

Mob Psycho 100 is way better than OPM in my opinion, and that's saying something because I really liked OPM.

I have known some people here for nearly half of my fucking life. Jesus Christ.
9 years in December for me, at least I think so.

You guys are awesome.
Yeah, it's absolutely weird that we still keep in touch.

Can confirm that while we have not got a better villain, there's a boy named Mirio who is hands down the best boy.

Can confirm not happening. The manga was cancelled and there's not enough content.

Mob Psycho 100 is the complete opposite of One Punch Man. One Punch Man is more comedy with a focus on the supporting cast.

Mob Psycho is a Saitama that develops and grows over the course of the series. Right now, Chapter 100 is pretty exciting stuff.

More importantly.

Grand Blue

Go read it right now. It blows One Punch Man out of the water for comedy and the characters are incredibly likable. On top of that, there's great life lessons.

There's also a drinking game while reading it.

This is a fantastic manga and I genuinely and whole-heartedly recommend it. I have introduced this to multiple people and they've all loved it.

Haha I haven't read any manga for a loooong time.
Or read anything that isn't a textbox for that matter...
But thanks for the suggestion! looks good.

Speaking of manga, if you haven't read Helck yet, read Helck. It's a great and wholesome comedy manga. Riyant, and Easy and attest to this. Dungeon Meshi is a pretty good manga if you like fantasy stories with lots of world building. I've also been reading maou-jou de oyasumi which is a fantasy comedy manga about a princess trying to get a good night sleep in the demon lord's castle. Also if you want a spin on the entering a fantasy world genre manga (my favourite is NGNL, but that's popular and I'm sure most people into anime have heard of it), Kumo desu ga, nani ka is an interesting manga. It's about a girl who is reborn in a fantasy world as a spider monster.

Man. I got a text message while at work, telling me not to go back home after work because of storm raging (it's a one-hour drive), which I kinda just blew off as everybody else being more pansy-ass than I am. (Besides, what was I gonna do - spend the night in the goddamn laboratory of goddamn glue factory?) Support for my theory then continued to accrue at an alarming rate, as other people at work kept chiming: "be careful on your way home! Stay safe!" - and the like, before leaving the building. Really, it wasn't even that bad outside when I left. Unusually windy for Georgia, sure, but it wouldn't impress anybody who's driven through Kansas. (Although combining the windiness with the wet, tire-worn rainy back-country roads did admittedly make it rather worse than taking the interstate through Kansas.)

So. Home. I've been in this city more than ten years, and I gotta tell you, I hardly recognized the place at night with no moon, stars, or streetlights on. Kind of amusing how traffic has been running by consensus since all the streetlights went out. Half of my neighborhood was roped off, and the other half has large sections of road that are actually not visible under all the fallen branches and leaves. There are trees lying across my front yard that I don't even recognize, although that could be just because they're horizontal now.

So I feel really fucking bad for the people that got caught in the actual hurricane. That... that's gotta be some shit. And I'm sorry I didn't really appreciate that until a much-diminished version made it to my own backyard, where it quite remarkly happened to dump all the flying debris in just the right arrangement to avoid damaging anything of value. (Although my car's front bumper got messed up on the way to work this morning, when a wet branch dropped onto the road ahead of me and blocked off the entire lane. Still a bummer.)

After pulling 72-hour weeks all month, the first real break I've got is this next couple of days, which are now likely to be pretty damn boring since we may not be seeing a lot of power lines repaired in the meanwhile. Honestly though, I don't even feel like complaining about it. Harvey, Irma, kinda didn't really worry about them. Figured I was far enough inland that the worst I'd see was the usual power outages. Glad I was right, but it's still really unsettling to see how easily I could have been wrong there.

These storms are definitely no joke. Usually we laugh off storms. I literally slept through one that passed over my area back in the day (not the storm that blew out one of my old computers and delayed Golden Lore one of those times, but still a much bigger storm than that one).

Then the storms start getting worse over the years and we kinda learn our lessons here on the gulf but then a random fuck huge storm shows up and almost destroys the region I've lived in most of my life.

Shit's no joke, sadly.

I'm extremely happy that you're okay, Easy. Stay safe.

Did nobody really make a 9/11 /2012 joke?
I sorta half-assedly mentioned it in the Discord Server. I didn't wanna dig through a buncha old threads to find the eagle sir schmoopy picture, so I just said "never forget" thinking Shadow might post it, since he apparently has a record of every meme picture ever posted (or at least Rodait's face).

Should we turn the Rondait face into an emoji for the Discord? If so, it'd be great if I could get some sauce.

When Irma hit my house I was expecting to be without power for a few days and maybe thought I'd have to deal with some flooding. The storm hit and I actively played video games during the storm and the worst that happened was that the power flickered a few times. Following the storm the roads had a lot of debris and a lot of stores are still out of stock of some basic things like bread and milk but that's about it for here. Apparently farther north in my home county of Citrus they got it worse and people will be without power and water for a week or two depending on where they live. Glad that nothing happened here but I was really expecting a lot more for how badly the news was sensationalizing the storm.
