Lords of Minecraft

It is legitimately really cool. It's RP like we're used to, but set in minecraft and with personalized settings and stuff, especially since it's familiar with Rob running it. There's certainly issues because of that, but I don't feel that overarching negativity here that normally comes from a project run by Rob. It feels really good and positive and fun. It's silly and great and I love it.

Also, Tolvan is a Magic Quarter resident, I'm a Southshire resident, and now our lords are teaming our districts up together to fight Rob and his Dwarven District.

So dope.

It sounds to me like you'll want to invest a lot of time in this to get known and thereby reap the reward of role playing fun. Conversely: If you don't play enough to get known and be involved in the council, you won't have much fun. Is this accurate? What kind of activities do they have for the less active people to get involved in?

You can do plenty, just have your own fun. You don't have to be on a council to have fun, that's just fun if you want to be involved in it. I've spent the majority of my time building my plot and I'm only halfway done considering I just finished the top half of my plot. That's a week of work, with some RP thrown in here and there. In fact, the main reason I even got on the council is because I was needed to represent my part of the district (there's one council member and 2 reps for each part of the district of Southshire, Market, Portal, the REDACTED guild hall, and one other place that I forget off the top of my head). I mainly got on the council and RP'd there by being in place to take advantage of the opportunity when it arose.

And even still, being at meetings is just for informational benefits. Until war and stuff begins in earnest, the most fun you'll have on the server is with building and having light RP fun with other players around your plot, or other people you know like me, Coolpool, Tolvan, and even Tirin when he gets on every now and then.

There's definitely plot points and story elements being revealed about the overarching game. The server is also in a sort of lull period, only because it's taking time for them to get DvZ back from the PMC people. As far as I know, they have it for a few more weeks, I think, then Rob gets it back and puts it on the LoM server. Once that happens, you can play DvZ which, for the one game I played a looooong time ago before most of the improvements and additions were made to it, it was really fun.

There's a lot going on, so if you have the time and want to be involved, get involved! Spend some time digging up granite, get your pay for the day, then go build some stuff on your plot in your district. You'll be glad you did.

I was writing a complaint post about Rob being Rob and permadeath being a thing, but then I noticed what he was doing. People are gonna die a lot because, duh, Halloween. Everyone gets to be a ghost! Awesome idea!

But then Rob had to spoil it by pulling the whole "You guys think you're smarter than me" paranoid, fans-out-to-get-me thing. We don't think we're smarter than Rob, we're just trying to figure shit out, damn.

In the continuing adventures on the LoM server of Req and his small entourage of lurking-from-time-to-time friends comes the next big thing to be kinda interesting.

There's PvP, finally. It's a hoe based battle tournament and I've already given Tirin the low down on the hoedown. You have to wear a bikini, but whatever. I think a few Lords are in the tournament, so there's a plus. If you win the whole thing, you're fuckin' ace, apparently, so that's awesome.

Also, best part? There's permadeath on the server now. If you die in any way, specifically while fighting in a tournament where you swing hoes at each other, you're dead completely. You become a ghost and have to roam around the server with your skin extremely transparent and the Lords can't see you at all.

We can kill people, guys.

I'm gonna lay down some smackdown and paint the walls red with the blood of my enemies.

The death tourney is today at 4 EST. I'll post the coordinates of the hoe arena when I'm home in a few hours. You guys should come watch. There's a potential chance of Tirin and me being the last two contestants and I love that. We have a chance to win this whole thing, guys.
