"Me too Req," says Easy, developing a plan to tell Req his true thoughts. "It's not easy leading a bunch of forum kids to safety in an apocalypse."
"You can say that again," says Req. "Just taking this crowd hiking is a hassle, apocalypse or not."
"Yeah," chuckles Easy. "Remember last summer, when TC put together a backpacking trip?"
"Oh my god," Requiem shakes his head. "He broke the only stove, and Druby threw a rock at a beehive."
"Did Shizno ever tell you why he didn't use his tent the second night?" asks Easy.
"No," says Req.
"Regis ate all the marshmallows and got sick," laughs Easy. "Then threw up all over Shizno's sleeping bag."
"He was shivering the whole night!" says Req.
The two of them laugh for a minute.
"Oh man," says Req, wiping a way a tear. "What I'd give to get things back how they were."
"I know the feeling," says Easy, looking at Walrus' shattered knee.
"Before I just had to worry about whatever Dunsparce was up to," says Req. "But now, man, I have no idea how I'm going to get us through this."
They're both quiet for a few moments.
"Maybe you shouldn't," says Easy.
"What?" says Req.
"Maybe you alone shouldn't get us through this," says Easy. "I'm worried about you dude. You've been on edge lately. To where it's dangerous."
"Look, I get the Walrus thing was a dumb idea," retorts Req quietly, in case Walrus was awake. "But it's not like everybody else wasn't thinking it."
"Here me out," says Easy. "It's not just that. You've been through a lot. In the past few days you've seen your friends die, you've had to kill, you had your eye cut out of your own damn face, and you seem like you're taking responsibility for everything that's happening."
Req feels the eyepatch on his face for a moment.
"I don't think you can carry on with how things are going," says Easy.
"You don't need to worry about me," insists Req.
"I'm not worried about you, I'm scared for you," says Easy. "And I'm scared for the group's attitude towards you, because I know you're a good man who wants to help."
"We wouldn't have a problem if everyone would stop being against me at every turn," says Req sternly. "Up until now that hasn't included you, Easy."
...
"Danny said that, once," says Easy.
Req is silent.
"And Rob before him."
Silence.
"And most recently, Vance," says Easy. "All of them were good men with the best intentions, but they let losing control of a group's favor rot their leadership. I don't want the same to happen to my friend, Requiem."
Requiem crosses his arms and looks at Easy for several moments. He then sighs and relaxes his arms.
"I know we haven't agreed on everything since this all started," says Req. "But when it came down to it, you've always had my back. I'd be stupid not to listen to you."
"Thank you," says Easy.
"What do you think we should do?" asks Req.

How does Easy wish to help Req and the group?
-Have Easy be the one who talks to the group as a whole, moves them along
-Have Easy be the one who makes the final say-so on important decisions
-Custom option
